Usman Jahun, Commander General, VGN
Usman Muhammad Jahun served the Nigerian Army for a period of 22 years in the Nigeria Army Corp of the Military Police. As a man of many parts, he is an astute security practitioner. His academic and professional qualifications includes Master’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (MLC) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, another Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Diploma in Crime Management from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria, Diploma in Social Policy and Administration from Kano State Polytechnic, among others.
He attended various Military Courses, these includes; Military Police trainings, Special Investigation, Advance Investigation Course, General Police duties course, Security Management and technology Course, Counter terrorism course, Drill Course, Crime Prevention and Control, Facilitators training Course, Citizenship and leadership Training, Un-Armed Combat and self Defence amongst others. He was also the OC Special Investigation at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji and an Instructor with the Infantry Corp Centre and School, also in Jaji Kaduna State. He has won several special awards like the Chief of Army Staff merit award 2007, best Nigerian Army School of Military Police Commandant’s Award 1998, best African Scouter of the year Award by President J.J Rawlings of Ghana 1994, to mention but few.
He is happily married to Hajiya Khadija and blessed with four Children.

Twenty one suspects have been arrested in Plateau over the killings and unrest in the state - Eleven of the suspects were arrested in connection to the killings in Barkin Ladi and environs - Fourteen others were arrested at the scene of a violent protest after the killings The Nigeria Police Force, Plateau state command, has arrested 21 persons in connection with the killings and unrest in Plateau state. The Nation reports that the suspects were paraded on Monday, July 2, at the OPSH Headquarters in Jos by the media officer of the task force, Major Adam Umar and Police public relations officer Tyopev Terna. Fourteen of the suspects were arrested at the scene of the violent protest that followed the Barkin Ladi's killings while 11 others were arrested in connection with the killings
