GARAM BEL

Garam works at the secretariat of the United Nations Environment Management Group (EMG), in Geneva. His role involves coordinating the Issue Management Group on Tackling E-waste, which aims to strengthen collaboration among 19 UN agencies currently active in addressing the global problem of waste electrical and electronic equipment. His key area of expertise lies in waste and resource management.
Before joining the Environment Management Group, Garam worked in local government in the United Kingdom, specialising in municipal waste and recycling collection and treatment activities. He holds an M.A in Standardization, Social Regulation and Sustainable Development from the University of Geneva and a NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management. Garam is a British and French national.
